"The best camera is the one you have with you." — Chase Jarvis

I'm always surprised when I hear professional photographers dismiss photos taken with mobile devices with remarks like "It's just an iPhone shot."  Sure, I'd love to have the control, quality, glass and resolution inherent to my "bigboy" camera with me at all times; but lugging that beast around simply isn't practical.

So, when without my DSLR, I embrace my iPhone as a camera, replete with its limitations, as well as its amazing capacities. Why? Because I always have it with me. And that critical point, summed up so beautifully in Chase Jarvis' quote, is especially relevant for me because I don't have an OFF switch for how I see the world. My iPhone has enabled me to capture shots I would've otherwise missed. So it is that I share this sampling of images shot and edited on my humble yet effective iPhone.
